After receiving her BA from Trinity College, Augusta started her career in Philadephia working for The Owosso Group, a holding company in the area of Mergers and Acquisitions.  Augusta travelled extensively throughout the United States visiting numerous small manufacturing businesses in the hopes of finding an appropriate fit with The Owosso Group’s current group of businesses. She was also able to participate in Owosso’s Initial Public Offering which was a fascinating experience.

Augusta then transitioned to Advertising Sales in New York City working in the cable industry.  She spent over a decade in this area starting as a sales assistant at USA Networks and then working through their planning department and then as an Account Executive for the Sci Fi Channel.  Augusta then moved to Lifetime Television as an Account Executive.

In 2003 Augusta made the decision to stay home with her young family.  During that time she served on several boards such as The Oyster Bay Community Foundation, The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary, and the North Shore Land Alliance.  She served as Vice President and President of the local elementary school’s Parent Teacher Association. She also became involved in her local Garden Club where she has served as Chair of their Conservation Committee for 4 years, Program Chair and Chair of their Scholarship Program.  

In 2015, she joined Liz Bentley Associates to head up Client Services. Her work focuses on helping onboard new clients and manage their experience. She also provides critical support to the coaching staff and keen insights as well.

How does your previous experience shape how you approach your work now?

Similar to Liz Bentley, I worked in planning and sales for advertising and media companies prior to my work now. Having the shared experience has created a dialogue between us so we could easily relate to one another. But even more key has been appreciating our differences. I relished planning more than sales. My role at LBA encapsulates my interests in the organizational side of the equation. I utilize my project management skills and attention to detail to ensure our clients receive the highest level of service. While my work is on the delivery end, I still continue to step into a sales-mindset to inform my thinking about what we do. I realize we need to present our offerings and materials clearly with the value upfront in order to reach our clients in the first place, and then deliver what we say we will.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I have gained tremendous insights into myself and this industry while stepping fully into my role of directing our client services. I welcome our clients into the company and provide them with materials and support so they can make the most of their coaching experience. I also manage assessments, which are powerful tools to help people gain deeper insights into themselves – for both clients and entire groups. Since we are a tight team, I also help support all product and service delivery across the company, which helps me see the big picture of the work we are doing to transform people’s lives and work. I am immensely gratified that my work helps other people make meaningful change in their lives.
