Laura Cabán is the “glue” here at Liz Bentley Associates as she is involved in all areas of the business. She is driven by her dedication to helping others and her love for learning, and is known for her positive energy.
Her interest in human behavior developed while pursuing her BA in Psychology at Lehigh University. She was particularly intrigued by neuropsychology and the mind-body connection. During that time, she worked as a research assistant and was fascinated by the effect that mindset can have on behavior. She also actively participated in student organizations with a focus on humanitarian and environmental projects.
Laura was then accepted into the NYC Teaching Fellowship and began teaching in the NYC Public School system. At the same time, she earned her MS in Secondary Education from Pace University. Then after 5 years teaching at the middle school level, she joined her principal and a select few colleagues in opening a brand new high school in Queens, where she served as department chairperson, teacher and director of virtual-learning. She enjoyed both the excitement and the challenge of creating something new from the ground up, and she is still inspired by the perspective and fulfillment she gained from that experience.
In 2015 she joined the team here at Liz Bentley Associates. Her current role is multi-faceted as she oversees all aspects of operations from product development to content creation. As Laura is committed to continuously improving operations and client experience, she is always identifying areas of growth, implementing productivity-enhancing systems and providing critical support to the coaches and team.
